Excellence in Neonatal Nursing Practice Award
The Academy of Neonatal Nursing wishes to recognize the accomplishments of those nurses who strive to provide the best nursing care possible to their patients. These nurses demonstrate a strong commitment to their patients and show creativity, intelligence, perseverance, and an unbending will to be the best. The Academy wishes to celebrate these often unsung heroes and the work that they do. Application deadline is August 1, 2008.
The Academy Conference Scholarship Award
This award recognizes professionally active Academy members by awarding scholarships to attend the National Neonatal Nurses Meeting. ANN is seeking applications from members who are currently active in the care of neonates and who maintain a current knowledge base. Application deadline has been extended to July 1, 2008. The purpose of this award is to provide monies to ANN members pursuing academic advancement in neonatal nursing. ANN is seeking applications from neonatal nurses within our organization who are currently enrolled in an educational program seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree in a neonatal nursing or related nursing major. Application deadline June 1, 2008. Foundation for Neonatal Research & Education
As part of the Academy's ongoing commitment to promote excellence in nursing practice by providing high quality educational offerings to all NICU nurses, the Academy supports the efforts of the Foundation for Neonatal Research and Education (FNRE). Since its inception the Academy has now donated more than $13,450 to FNRE. Not only does this foundation support nursing research, but also grants scholarships to nurses to attend Academy meetings as well as meetings put on by other nursing entities. The Academy is proud of its support of FNRE and the work that they do.
