Now Accepting Poster & Podium Abstracts

We invite you to share your knowledge and expertise with your nursing colleagues. Please consider submitting an abstract for a poster or podium presentation to present at this conference. Posters and podium presentations offer the perfect avenue to network, exchange ideas, and improve the quality of nursing education for neonatal nurses. Be recognized for your work by being chosen to present your abstract at this national conference!

GUIDELINES FOR POSTER AND PODIUM SUBMISSIONS

POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
Posters are welcome in three categories: Innovative Programs, Research, Case Studies and other topics related to advanced practice neonatal care.

Innovative Programs: Describe a program implemented in your practice setting which addresses challenges in nursing practice, education, or administration in neonatal care.

Research: Describe original research or knowledge translation. Include a description of the following: Statement of the problem, conceptual framework (if applicable), literature review, methodology, and data analysis and interpretation.

Case Studies: Describe the infant’s diagnosis, including incidence and etiology; an overview of the diagnostic process; management; discussion of outcomes; and implications for practice. The case discussion must comply with HIPAA regulations. The case must not be in litigation.

General Poster Information:

  • Each submission will be blind peer-reviewed by a minimum of three neonatal nurses.
  • Presenters are expected to be at their poster and available for questions during specified times.
  • Attendees will earn contact hours for viewing and evaluating posters.
  • Poster presenters will be provided with a 4 ft. x 8 ft. cork board display. Electrical outlets and tables are not available.

Writing Your Abstract:

  • Posters must avoid any semblance of commercialism; those constituting promotion and advertising are prohibited.
  • Abstracts must be limited to 200 words.
  • Do not include references in your abstract.
  • State unit of measurement for lab results.
  • Spell out the first use of any acronym, e.g., large for gestational age (LGA)
  • You must submit one learner objective. 

All presenters are required to register and attend the full conference. Poster presenters receive a $50 discount off main conference tuition. All poster presenters will be responsible for their own travel and all expenses related to their presentation. The discount is offered to the primary presenter only and cannot be combined with any other discount.

 

PODIUM PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
Presentations are welcome in three categories: Innovative Programs, Research, Case Studies and other topics related to advanced practice neonatal care.

General Podium (oral presentation) Information:

  • Each submission will be blind peer-reviewed by a minimum of three neonatal nurses.
  • Each podium presentation will be limited to 20 minutes (including questions).
  • Podium presenters will be provided with an LCD projector, screen, and lectern with microphone. No other audio/visual equipment will be provided or may be used.

  • Abstracts must be limited to 200 words.
  • Do not include references in your abstract.
  • State unit of measurement for lab results.
