ANN Conference Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize motivated ANN members by providing funds to attend the annual National Neonatal Nurses Meeting. ANN is seeking applications from neonatal nurses within our organization who are currently active in the care of neonates and maintaining a current knowledge base.

Criteria

The candidate must:

  • Be a current ANN member in good standing for at least one year.
  • Have a minimum of two years of neonatal practice experience.
  • Not have received an ANN Conference Scholarship within the past 5 years
  • Be a professionally active neonatal nurse, defined as:
    • Currently engaged in a clinical, research, or educational role that contributes directly to the health care of neonates or to the neonatal nursing profession (includes all professional neonatal nursing roles).
    • Maintaining professional education in neonatal nursing by obtaining 15 contact hours of continuing education a year. Credits toward degree work in neonatal or related nursing courses may meet this requirement.
  • Preference will be given to nurses who demonstrate active involvement in professional or community service activities

 

Application materials should include:

  • A completed application.
  • A brief written explanation, no more than one paragraph, of how you intend to share information from the conference with your unit colleagues or work group.
  • A list of contact hours obtained in the last year, including title of offering and provider.
  • A current C.V

Selection Process

The Academy of Neonatal Nursing Executive Committee will select up to five individuals. The recipient will be notified by July 31. The Executive Committee reserves the right to not grant the scholarship if the applicants do not meet the criteria. 

All applications should be submitted to The Academy of Neonatal Nursing no later than July 1 .
